How to get there

By foot

It takes approximately 15 minutes by foot to reach the Franckesche Stiftungen from the central station. Follow the signs at the main station saying „Innenstadt“ into the pedestrian area. At the traffic lights near the Leipziger Turm (Leipzig tower) you walk leftwards onto the Waisenhausring (orphanage ring road). Keep following the Waisenhausring until the Franckeplatz, where the main entrance of the foundation lies on the left side.

By public transportation

At the central train station the tramlines 4 (direction Kröllwitz), 7 (direction Kröllwitz) and 9 (direction Göttinger Bogen) stop. These take you without any changing directly to the Franckeplatz (tramstop „Franckeplatz“). Across from the left-hand side of the tramstop lies the historical orphanage of the Franckesche Stiftungen.

From town: Chose a connection which brings you to the market place. From here the lines 1, 3, 7 or 16 take you with one stop going south right to the Franckeplatz. The historical orphanage of the Franckesche Stiftungen lies only a little bit further along into the direction of the tram.

By car

From the A9 departure Halle, from the A 14 departure Peißen and the B100 into the direction Halle-centre.

Follow the direction sign „All directions“ onto the B6 (Volkmannstraße) and further into the direction centre. Exit the B6 at the big roundabout Riebeckplatz into the direction „Zentrum/Eisleben“ and follow the sign „Franckesche Stiftungen“.

Coming along the B80 from Eisleben you follow the signs to Halle. After crossing the Saale you chose the first exit on the right-hand side onto the Glauchaer Platz. From there please follow the signs „Franckesche Stiftungen“.

Parking

As the foundation compound is not open to public transport, we ask you kindly to use the common parking space.
